Seattle Children’s Toy Drive

The Storm will host its Toy Drive supported by Lime, benefiting Seattle Children’s Hospital on July 14 when the team hosts the Dallas Wings. Forward Alysha Clark has spearhead the team’s Toy Drive efforts for the past three years and regularly visits Seattle Children’s during the season where she has developed relationships and friendships with many of the patients and their families. She encourages fans to donate toys for the children who find themselves away from their homes for long extended periods of time during medical care.

Along with the donations from fans and Clark over the past four years, the Storm has teamed up with Lime this season, who will be donating Lime and Storm co-branded helmets to distribute to kids at the hospital.

Fans can visit the wish list for a list of items Seattle Children’s recommends for donation. Among the greatest needs include: ‘GO Cart’ game systems (gamersoutreach.org), twistable Crayola crayons (mini size), Crayola crayons, infant rattles (handheld Oball, winkle sensory, tactile toys (sound, light, texture), board books, new release/popular DVDs (no VHS), $5 and $10 gift cards (music, book stores, movies, restaurants, Target, Amazon) and Uno card games.

The 2017 drive was a huge success, thanks to Storm fans who donated over $2,000 in new toys. We are grateful for Storm fans as they care deeply about our community and are ready for action when called upon for support. Help us make 2018 the best toy drive yet!
