The Seattle Storm participated in Urban Games 2019 at Garfield Community Center for a fun free day of sports, health and wellness with lots of active youngsters on Saturday, June 29. This was a fun environment promoting active, healthy lifestyles with activities for young people ages 5-22 and their families including indoor and outdoor games, community and healthy resources, group exercise classes, and much more.
All kids and families that visited the Storm table received a free headband, autographed Storm player cards, had the opportunity to enter-to-win Storm tickets and memorabilia such as a signed basketball, shoe and championship ring, and learned more about our current 2019 season.
The Storm also held dribbling and shooting competitions for youth participating in the event and gave out free t-shirts and basketballs to those that participated. The winner of Dribble Tag went home with a Championship Ring and autographed picture of Sue Bird. The winner of the “girls only” Bump contest went home with a signed Sue Bird jersey. Make sure to visit the Storm table next year at Urban Games 2020!
